On the 12th of February, following its project Kick-off meeting, the OPTI-TRANS Project was presented to delegates at  the RNI sponsored seminar “Galileo Open Services-does one size fit all?” at the prestigious Royal Geographic Society in London.

Approximately 60 people attended the seminar and the presenters included representatives from the UK Department for Transport, the General Light House Authorities, Surrey Satellite technology and Eurocontol as well as Metropolitan Police.  Subjects presented ranged from cost benefits of Galileo and aviation industry views through to Regulatory issues and the FP7 programme.

OPTI-TRANS was presented in a session reviewing a number of GSA FP7 programmes and received a positive response from the audience.
